Shipping operations resumed at commercial ports in Britain’s Humber estuary on Tuesday with no special measures in place following a collision in the North Sea, but movements in and out of ports were still affected by the incident.

The four ports under the authority of Associated British Ports – Hull, Immingham, Goole, and Grimsby – had been allowing vessels in and out since Monday night, following the collision at sea of a container ship with a tanker, an ABP spokesperson said.

She said vessel movement was affected by the ongoing collision scene at sea, but did not give further details.
