Evergreen has announced the launch of its “CIX7” service, which will expand the company’s network by offering direct connections from Vietnam and Thailand to East India.

The service will complement Evergreen Line’s existing East India services by enhancing port coverage and frequency.

This service will be jointly operated with Wan Hai Lines, RCL FEEDER PTE LTD., and BENGAL TIGER LINE, using four vessels with a nominal capacity of 2,200 TEUs. Evergreen will deploy one of these four vessels.

The maiden voyage of CIX7 will begin from Cat Lai Port in Ho Chi Minh on 20 April, and is expected to arrive in Chennai on 4 May. The service will follow a fixed 28-day round-trip schedule.

According to Evergreen, the port rotation will be: Cat Lai port Ho Chi Minh– Laem Chabang – Singapore – Port Kelang (North port) – Chennai – Vizag – Singapore – Port Kelang (North port) -Singapore – Cat Lai port Ho Chi Minh.

In October 2024, Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT), owned by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), received the first call of the MV Ever Core under a new joint service between Evergreen and Wan Hai Lines.

One month later, PSA Singapore (PSA) and Evergreen Marine Corporation established a joint venture in Singapore aiming to enhance operational performance.
