The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has appointed Suliman bin Khalid Almazroua as the Chief Executive Officer by resolution of its Board of Directors.
Almazroua brings with him over 22 years of distinguished experience across the industrial, energy, and logistics sectors.
Before this role at Mawani, Almazroua served as the CEO of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), where he led the implementation of a wide range of strategic objectives aimed at diversifying the Saudi economy and enhancing infrastructure in the sectors of industry, mining, energy, and logistics.
His work at NIDLP focused on increasing sectoral contributions to GDP, boosting local content, promoting innovation, and advancing the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
His professional journey began at Saudi Aramco, where he held several leadership positions from 2001 to 2017. He also worked with Ariba Network and Caspian Network in the United States.
In 2017, he joined the Delivery and Rapid Intervention Center and later the National Transformation Programme (NTP), where he contributed to planning, oversight, and accelerating the execution of development initiatives, while also providing technical and administrative support to help achieve Vision 2030 targets.
Almazroua holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hull, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
He has also completed executive leadership programmes at globally renowned institutions, including IMD, Rice University, and the Harvard Kennedy School.
Additionally, he serves as a Board Member of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Saudi Arabia and is the Chairman of the Board of Marafiq.
Earlier this month, the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) launched construction on a SAR 689 million ($183.7 million) logistics corridor linking Jeddah Islamic Port to the Al Khomra Logistics Zone.
