Transworld Group, as part of its ongoing sustainability initiatives, recently organised an interactive Paper Recycling Workshop across its Mumbai and Dubai offices. The initiative highlighted the environmental impact of paper waste and offered employees a hands-on experience in turning discarded office paper into beautiful handmade sheets.

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, one ton of paper waste in landfills releases up to 90 kg of methane, a greenhouse gas 28 times more harmful than CO₂ in causing global warming. With paper being one of the most widely used resources in offices, its responsible management remains critical.

The workshop, which saw active participation from 47 volunteers, demonstrated simple DIY techniques to recycle office wastepaper and underscored the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. Beyond creativity, the session also reinforced the idea that waste, if segregated properly, can be transformed into something useful.

Commenting on the initiative, a Transworld spokesperson said, “Sustainability begins at an individual level. Small steps like reducing paper usage, reusing where possible, and recycling consciously can collectively create a big impact.”

Through such initiatives, Transworld continues to drive awareness on environmental responsibility, encouraging employees to adopt sustainable practices both at work and in their daily lives.
