    A 14-member delegation from Russia, comprising representatives from Government, academia, and private industry, visited the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) on Wednesday.

    The primary objective of the delegation’s visit was to explore potential partnerships in education, training, and industry, with a focus on facilitating the migration of skilled Indian workers to Russia.

    VPA showcases cargo-handling, modernisation, solar initiatives

    During the briefing session, VPA officials highlighted the Port’s robust infrastructure and facilities, including its cargo-handling capacities, modernisation and mechanisation initiatives, covered storage facilities, use of solar power, and Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) for industrial water purposes.

    They also elaborated on the Port’s investment potential and opportunities for enhancing import and export trade through Visakhapatnam, according to a release.
