Tuticorin’s V.O. Chidambaranar (VOC) Port has achieved a historic milestone by successfully handling windmill blades measuring 89.50 metres in length — the longest ever received at the port.

The blades, destined for Envision Energy India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, arrived onboard the vessel MV Bo Run Jiu Zhou from Qingzhou Port, China. A total of 45 blades are being discharged in this consignment.

The complex operation was executed seamlessly through the coordinated efforts of multiple stakeholders:

    • Parekh Marine Services Pvt. Ltd. – Ship Agent

    • Pearl Shipping & Chartering – Stevedore

    • NTC Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. – Customs House Agent & Transporter

Port officials said this landmark feat demonstrates VOC Port’s growing expertise and infrastructure capabilities in handling mega project cargo, particularly in the renewable energy sector.

The achievement further strengthens VOC Port’s position as a preferred gateway for large-scale wind energy equipment imports, contributing to India’s clean energy ambitions.
