Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), Ahmedabad Region, in collaboration with iWare Supplychain Services Ltd., inaugurated the Green Channel Rail Cargo Service connecting Gandhidham (Kandla) to RWC Shakurbasti, New Delhi.

The service leverages CWC’s Railside Warehousing Complex at Gandhidham to provide end-to-end cargo movement from port pick-up to last-mile delivery in Delhi, combining rail transport with modern warehousing facilities.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ashish Dhania, Area Railway Manager, Western Railway, Gandhidham, said: With CWC’s rail-side infrastructure and logistics companies like iWare introducing new services, this initiative is a step towards cost-effective and environmentally sustainable supply chain connectivity.”

Shri Dheeraj Sharma and Sh. Pradeep Kumar of CWC highlighted that the Gandhidham facility strengthens rail-centric logistics models, integrating storage, cargo movement, and last-mile distribution.

The inauguration was attended by senior officials from CWC, Western Railway, and industry leaders, including Shri Krishna Tanwar, Founder & MD, and Ms. Twinkle Tanwar, CEO of iWare Supplychain Services Ltd.

The Green Channel service is expected to reduce transit time, promote sustainable trade, and create a direct corridor between western ports and northern consumption hubs.
