Global logistics major DHL Group has announced plans to invest around €1 billion (₹9,000 crore) in India by 2030, reinforcing its confidence in the country’s growing economic and trade potential.

The announcement was made by DHL Group CEO Tobias Meyer at a press conference on Thursday, as part of the company’s “Strategy 2030 – Accelerated Sustainable Growth” plan.

“Global trade is facing headwinds, but we remain confident in India’s dynamic market. The country’s diversification strategy and business-friendly policies provide a solid foundation for long-term investments,” Meyer said.

He added that the substantial investment will focus on expanding reliable and more sustainable logistics solutions to meet the evolving needs of DHL’s customers in India.

The multi-layered investment programme will span critical sectors including life sciences and healthcare, new energy, e-commerce, and digitalisation, reflecting DHL’s commitment to supporting India’s logistics modernization and sustainability goals.

DHL, which operates across supply chain, express, and freight forwarding segments in India, said the new investments will strengthen infrastructure, technology adoption, and green logistics solutions in one of its fastest-growing markets.
