Interasia Lines Ltd. has announced the launch of its new Far East–East India service, designated CI9, set to commence on December 5, 2025. The addition of CI9 marks a significant expansion of the carrier’s regional network, strengthening connectivity between South China, Southeast Asia, and East India.
The new weekly service features a 28-day rotation and will be operated by 2,500–2,800 TEU-class vessels. The port rotation is as follows:
Nansha – Shekou – Laem Chabang – Port Klang (West Port) – Chennai – Port Klang (North Port) – Nansha.
Interasia Lines stated that the CI9 service underscores the company’s continued commitment to delivering reliable, customer-focused, and efficient transportation solutions. With enhanced scheduling options and expanded coverage, the service is expected to offer greater flexibility for shippers across the South China–India corridor, one of the region’s most important and rapidly growing trade lanes.
The launch of CI9 aligns with Interasia’s broader strategy to strengthen intra-Asia capabilities and support increasing cargo demand across Asia’s key emerging markets.
