In a significant step toward strengthening bilateral economic ties, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and the Russian Export Center (REC) signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 4, 2025. The signing took place on the sidelines of the India–Russia Business Forum, coinciding with the visit of the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Vladimir Putin.

The agreement aims to enhance trade cooperation, promote new export opportunities, and deepen economic engagement between the two nations.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO of FIEO, and Ms. Veronika Nikishina, CEO of REC.

The ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both sides, including Mr. Mamed Akhmedov, Head of the REC Representative Office in India, and Ms. Anna from REC, along with Mr. Suvidh Shah, ADG; Mr. Prashant Seth, Joint DDG; and Mr. Rohit Tejpal, Deputy Director from FIEO.

This partnership marks a major milestone in reinforcing India–Russia trade cooperation and building a robust platform for future-ready economic collaboration.
