Qatar Airways has promoted Cayley Buyskes from regional cargo sales manager to cargo country manager UK and Ireland.

According to the details on Buyskes’ LinkedIn profile, she began transitioning to her new role in October and carried out both jobs until this month.

Before joining Qatar in December 2024, Buyskes worked for IAG Cargo for over nine years. Her most recent role with the Heathrow-based company was as product development manager based in Greater London.

Prior to this, she was based in South Africa and worked in various management roles for the company.

Buyskes began her aviation career as a call centre reservation agent with Comair in 1996. She then briefly worked for Lufthansa before joining British Airways as a customer service supervisor, before being appointed to account manager and then multiple area commercial manager roles.

Last month, Qatar Airways Group also appointed Hamad Ali Al‑Khater as group chief executive to succeed Badr Mohammed Al‑Meer.

Al-Khater, who began his new role on 7 December, joined Qatar Airways Group from his role as chief operating officer at Hamad International Airport.

At Hamad International Airport, Ali Al‑Khater was responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of airport operations, while leading its strategic direction, operational excellence, infrastructure expansion, and the continuous enhancement of passenger experience.
