Global shipping major Maersk has announced a revision to the Destination Port Surcharge (DPS) applicable on export cargo from Inland Container Depots (ICDs). The adjustment comes as part of the company’s regular review of operational costs and port-related charges.

The revised DPS will affect exporters using ICDs across key regions, with the change aimed at aligning charges with current market conditions and operational expenses. Maersk emphasized that the update is intended to ensure continued service efficiency and network reliability.

A spokesperson for Maersk stated, “We continuously monitor market dynamics and operational costs to provide transparent and fair pricing for our customers. The revised DPS reflects this approach while supporting our service quality.”

Exporters are advised to review the updated surcharge structure and factor it into their freight planning and budgeting.
