Officers from the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) and Northern Railway carried out a joint inspection of the New Dadri–Rewari–Ateli section of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), reinforcing coordinated efforts to strengthen freight connectivity.
The inspection was led by Sh. Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director (OP&BD), DFCCIL, and Dr. Monica Agnihotri, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Northern Railway, along with senior officials from both organisations. The team included representatives from operations, business development, traffic management, and divisional offices of DFCCIL and Northern Railway.
During the visit, officials undertook a detailed review of operational systems and inspected key infrastructure along the route. This included enroute viaducts and tunnels, New Dadri Station, the Khatuwas CONCOR siding (CMLK), and the New Ateli Running Room. The team also assessed the feasibility of linking the New Rewari–Kumbhawas section and examined potential future connectivity with the Haryana Orbital Rail Corporation, the DFC network, and Northern Railway lines.
The joint inspection underscored the strong inter-institutional coordination between DFCCIL and Northern Railway, aimed at ensuring safe, seamless, and efficient freight movement on the Dedicated Freight Corridor and supporting the long-term growth of India’s rail-based logistics network.
