Shri S. Sakthimani, Director (Finance), Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company with effect from 02 February 2026.
Following his assumption of charge, Shri B. Kasiviswanathan, IRSME, Chairperson, Cochin Port Authority, paid a courtesy visit to Shri S. Sakthimani and extended his greetings. The interaction reflected the strong institutional linkage between the port and FACT, a key industrial stakeholder in the region.
As part of his initial engagements, Shri S. Sakthimani held meetings with the Officers’ Associations and Trade Unions of FACT to discuss the Company’s present situation and outline future initiatives. Smt. Maria Varghese, General Manager (HR), was also present during the discussions. The Associations and Trade Unions assured their continued steadfast support to the Management in steering the Company forward.
Further strengthening coordination with the civil administration, Shri S. Sakthimani met the District Collector of Ernakulam, Smt. G. Priyanka, IAS, today. During the meeting, he apprised the District Collector of FACT’s current status and sought the continued support of the District Administration in driving the Company’s future initiatives and growth.
These interactions mark an active and collaborative beginning to Shri S. Sakthimani’s tenure as CMD, underscoring FACT’s focus on stakeholder engagement, industrial harmony, and sustained growth.
