The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has announced an extension of export incentives for goods shipped via postal services. This move aims to support small and medium exporters, e-commerce businesses, and individual sellers by making international shipments more cost-effective.
The extended incentives include reduced customs duties and streamlined processing for postal exports, helping Indian businesses compete more effectively in global markets. Officials stated that the continuation of these measures would encourage higher export volumes, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) relying on postal channels.
Industry experts welcomed the decision, noting that it could boost India’s presence in international e-commerce and promote wider participation in global trade.
