IAG Cargo and Qatar Airways Cargo have expanded their strategic partnership through a new contract covering operations at Dublin Airport (DUB), strengthening cargo connectivity between Europe and the Middle East.

The agreement is aimed at enhancing capacity coordination, operational efficiency and service offerings for customers moving freight through Dublin. By aligning schedules and leveraging each other’s networks, the two carriers seek to provide improved transit times and broader market access.

Under the deal, cargo originating or transiting via Dublin will benefit from seamless connections into both airlines’ global networks, including key destinations across Asia, the Americas and Africa. The partnership is expected to support sectors such as pharmaceuticals, perishables and high-value goods.

Industry observers note that deeper airline cargo collaborations are increasingly important as carriers optimise capacity utilisation and respond to evolving trade flows. Dublin’s growing role as a transatlantic and European gateway makes it a strategic node in joint network planning.

Both companies indicated that the DUB contract builds on their existing cooperation framework and reflects a shared commitment to delivering integrated, customer-focused cargo solutions.

Further enhancements to the partnership may be considered as market demand and operational requirements evolve.
