    Port of Gioia Tauro has launched a €5.6 million upgrade project to improve its Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) berth infrastructure, strengthening the port’s capabilities for vehicle and cargo handling operations.

    The project is aimed at modernising berth facilities, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the port’s ability to manage growing RoRo traffic. The upgrade will support smoother vessel operations and provide better infrastructure for shipping lines and logistics operators.

    The investment forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Gioia Tauro’s role as a strategic Mediterranean logistics hub, supporting both container and specialised cargo movements.

    By improving RoRo facilities, the port aims to increase competitiveness, attract additional maritime services, and enhance connectivity across European and international trade routes.

    The development highlights the continued focus on upgrading port infrastructure to meet evolving supply chain demands and support future growth in maritime transport.
