Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced the launch of its new India–North America Express (INX) service, scheduled to commence in August, further strengthening direct container shipping connectivity between the Indian subcontinent and North America. The new service is aimed at meeting growing trade demand while providing customers with faster transit times, enhanced schedule reliability, and expanded cargo capacity on one of the world’s fastest-growing trade corridors.

The India–North America Express will connect major Indian ports with key gateways on the U.S. East Coast through a dedicated service designed to support exporters of engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, textiles, chemicals, automotive components, consumer products, and other containerised cargo. By offering direct port calls and streamlined connections, the service is expected to reduce transit times and improve supply chain efficiency for businesses engaged in trans-Pacific trade.

According to ONE, the new service forms part of its broader strategy to enhance its global liner network and provide customers with more resilient and flexible shipping solutions. The carrier has continued to expand its service portfolio in response to evolving market conditions, changing cargo flows, and increasing demand for reliable ocean transportation between Asia and North America.

The launch comes at a time when trade between India and North America continues to gain momentum, supported by the diversification of global supply chains and rising exports from India. Manufacturers and exporters are increasingly seeking dependable shipping options as companies adopt a “China+1” sourcing strategy and expand procurement from India across sectors such as electronics, engineering, apparel, chemicals, and consumer goods.

The INX service is expected to complement ONE’s existing network by providing seamless connectivity to inland destinations through integrated intermodal solutions. Customers will also benefit from improved cargo visibility, predictable sailing schedules, and enhanced access to ONE’s global service network, enabling smoother movement of goods across international markets.

Industry observers believe the introduction of the India–North America Express will further strengthen India’s position as a major manufacturing and export hub while offering importers and exporters greater choice in ocean freight services. The new route is also expected to support growing bilateral trade by improving logistics efficiency, reducing transit uncertainties, and increasing shipping capacity between the two regions.

With the addition of the India–North America Express, ONE continues to invest in expanding its global network, reinforcing its commitment to delivering reliable, customer-focused shipping solutions that support international trade and resilient supply chains.
