Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has successfully completed the transportation of two 63-tonne power transformers from Nhava Sheva, India, to Libreville, Gabon, demonstrating its expertise in handling complex project cargo shipments.

The oversized transformers were shipped from Nhava Sheva and transshipped via Lomé, Togo, before being safely discharged at Libreville, Gabon. The carefully coordinated operation ensured the secure handling and timely delivery of the heavy-lift cargo.

The transformers are expected to play a vital role in strengthening and expanding power infrastructure in Gabon and the Republic of the Congo, supporting improved electricity access and enhancing the reliability of energy networks across the region.

The successful delivery highlights MSC’s project cargo capabilities and its commitment to supporting infrastructure development through tailored logistics solutions for oversized and heavy-lift shipments.
