Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has secured a 30-year concession to develop and operate the CQ-I and CQ-II berths at Paradip Port, marking a strategic expansion of its presence on India’s eastern coast.
The successful bid will add 18 million metric tonnes (MMT) of mechanised dry bulk handling capacity to APSEZ’s network. With this addition, the company’s total port capacity will rise to 671 MMT.
Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director and CEO, APSEZ, said the Paradip concession represents more than a capacity addition and will strengthen the company’s presence in one of India’s key industrial and cargo-producing regions.
With the Paradip facility, APSEZ’s network will expand to 16 ports and terminals across India’s 11,000-km coastline. The company said the expansion will further enhance its ability to offer integrated port, logistics and marine solutions through its nationwide transport infrastructure platform.
The addition of the CQ-I and CQ-II berths is expected to strengthen APSEZ’s position on the East Coast, while supporting the efficient movement of dry bulk cargo from the region’s major industrial and manufacturing centres.
APSEZ also expressed its appreciation to the Paradip Port Authority, customers, partners and other stakeholders for their continued trust and support, describing the project as part of its broader growth and nation-building strategy.
