SF Airlines has launched a new freighter service linking Shanghai and Singapore, expanding its international cargo network and strengthening air-freight connectivity between China and Southeast Asia.
The new route connects Shanghai Pudong International Airport with Singapore Changi Airport, providing additional capacity for time-sensitive and high-value cargo moving between the two major commercial and logistics centres.
The service is operated by SF Airlines, the air-cargo arm of Chinese logistics group SF Holding. The carrier has been expanding its international network as demand for cross-border e-commerce, manufacturing supply chains and express shipments continues to grow across Asia.
Singapore serves as an important regional distribution and transshipment hub, while Shanghai is one of China’s largest manufacturing and cargo gateways. The new freighter link is expected to support faster movement of goods between the two markets and provide additional options for customers requiring dedicated air-cargo capacity.
The Shanghai-Singapore connection also strengthens SF Airlines’ broader Southeast Asian network. The region has become increasingly important for Chinese logistics operators as trade, e-commerce and manufacturing activity expand across ASEAN markets.
For exporters and logistics providers, the additional freighter capacity could improve shipment flexibility and support more direct routing for urgent cargo. It also complements SF Airlines’ wider strategy of developing international air-freight links from China to key markets in Asia and beyond.
The new service further reinforces the role of Shanghai and Singapore as major nodes in the regional air-cargo network, supporting the movement of electronics, e-commerce shipments, industrial goods and other time-sensitive cargo.
