Shri Sachin S. Kurve, IAS, Chairman, Chennai Port Authority, led a business delegation to Mumbai for discussions with leading shipping lines aimed at strengthening Chennai’s maritime connectivity and creating new opportunities for trade.
The delegation held industry engagements focused on enhancing shipping services, expanding network connectivity and facilitating cargo growth through closer collaboration with the shipping industry.
The discussions also explored opportunities to improve connectivity and strengthen Chennai Port’s integration with shipping networks, supporting smoother cargo movement and greater trade facilitation.
The Chennai Port Authority highlighted the importance of continued engagement with shipping lines and industry stakeholders to expand services and respond to the evolving requirements of exporters, importers and other users of the port.
The Mumbai engagements form part of Chennai Port Authority’s efforts to deepen partnerships with the maritime industry and reinforce Chennai Port’s role as a key gateway for India’s trade.
