CONCOR’s Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Dadri handled a record 2,931 refrigerated (reefer) containers in September 2026, highlighting the growing role of temperature-controlled logistics in India’s supply chain.

The milestone underscores the importance of reliable cold-chain infrastructure for the movement of temperature-sensitive commodities, including fresh produce, dairy products, pharmaceuticals and export cargo. Efficient transportation and temperature management are critical to preserving product quality, minimising losses and ensuring timely deliveries.

Stronger rail connectivity, integrated multimodal logistics and technology-enabled temperature monitoring are increasingly important in improving cold-chain efficiency and expanding market access for Indian businesses.

Commenting on the broader industry trend, AVG Logistics Limited highlighted the need for seamless integration of road, rail, warehousing and technology to strengthen cold-chain operations and ensure reliability throughout the transportation process.

The record reefer volumes at Dadri reflect the growing relevance of multimodal logistics infrastructure in supporting India’s evolving cold-chain requirements and facilitating the movement of temperature-sensitive cargo across domestic and international markets.
