Pacific International Lines (PIL) has announced the expansion of its Korea China Straits Service (KCS), which now includes Qingdao and Incheon as significant port additions.
This redesigned service will be operated jointly by PIL and its partners beginning 4 July, from Busan, South Korea, and will have four vessels with a notional capacity of around 2,800 TEU.
Surendran Mathilagath, General Manager of Intra-Asia Services at PIL, said: “This upgrade of our KCS service reaffirms our strategy to broaden PIL’s presence in Asia. It further enhances PIL’s network across North Asia, enabling us to optimise transit efficiency and offer competitive pricing.”
The enhanced rotation for the KCS service includes the following ports: Busan – Incheon – Qingdao – Shanghai – Singapore – Port Klang (Westport) – Ho Chi Minh (Cat Lai) – Shekou – Busan
In May, PSA Singapore (PSA) and PIL completed their first experiment of low-carbon green cargo to create a sustainable supply chain ecosystem.
