AJW Group, a provider of aircraft parts, repair, and supply chain solutions, has signed a PBH (Power-by-the-Hour) contract with Modern Logistics, a Brazilian cargo operator.

The two companies had a previous contract dating back to 2017 for the B737CL freighter, however, the new agreement extends to cover Modern Logistics’ fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Through the partnership, AJW Group will provide component coverage and repairs from AJW Technique, the company’s maintenance facility based in Montreal, as well as logistics and recommendations on home base stock requirements.

“For the past years, AJW has been a crucial strategic partner in our mission to bridge distances, connecting people and businesses,” said Mario Fernandes da Costa, CFO of Modern Logistics. “AJW’s agile and efficient support ensures our safety and efficiency levels, allowing us to focus on creating unique logistics solutions for our clients.”

AJW Group is a member of ALTA (Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association) and has recently opened an office in Mexico City. The company provides repairs and solutions for over 1,000 airlines globally.

“We are pleased to deepen our relationship with Modern Logistics through this expanded PBH contract,” commented Scott Symington, Chief Commercial Officer, AJW. “AJW Technique, our flagship maintenance facility in Montreal, along with our supply chain partners, ensures an exceptional end-to-end customer experience for Modern Logistics.”

In other news, AJW has appointed Wilmer Lopez as the new Managing Director of AJW Latin America. Lopez joins the team with 24 years of experience in the aviation industry and will manage operations from the new Mexico City office.
