As part of its global Net Zero commitment, ABB India is incorporating Electric Vehicles (EVs) into its commercial logistics operations. The company is using EVs to transport finished goods, raw materials, and make last-mile deliveries within Bengaluru.

This move aims to significantly reduce Scope-3 greenhouse gas emissions, supporting ABB’s goal of creating a low-carbon, sustainable future.

The EV initiative was launched at ABB’s Smart Power factory in Nelamangala and its Distribution Centre at Hanchipura. The flag-off ceremony was led by key leaders, including Kiran Dutt, EL Commercial Lead, and others.

Also, ABB India marked another milestone with the deployment of its first electric truck in Peenya, with a flag-off ceremony by Tuomo Hoysniemi, President of ABB Drive Products, and AR Madhusudan, Local Division Manager.

By shifting to electric logistics, ABB India is demonstrating leadership in sustainability. “This transition is part of our commitment to environmental stewardship,” said ABB leaders.

This initiative aligns ABB’s business operations with global climate goals and marks a key move toward reducing the company’s carbon footprint, setting an example for the industry.
