Adani Logistics has achieved a significant milestone in strengthening India’s integrated logistics network by successfully handling the first import shipment at its Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Virochannagar in collaboration with Suraj Forwarders.

The shipment was seamlessly transported from Mundra Port to ICD Virochannagar, marking the commencement of import cargo handling operations at the inland facility. The development is expected to enhance cargo movement efficiency and strengthen multimodal connectivity between Gujarat’s gateway port and inland industrial hubs.

The launch of import operations at ICD Virochannagar is aimed at streamlining supply chains, improving turnaround times, and supporting the ease of doing business for importers. The facility will initially cater to scrap import cargo, providing customers with faster and more efficient inland logistics solutions.

Adani Logistics said the milestone reflects its commitment to developing an integrated logistics ecosystem by enhancing port-to-hinterland connectivity and expanding inland cargo handling capabilities.

The company expects the first shipment to pave the way for a steady flow of import cargo through ICD Virochannagar, further reinforcing its role in supporting India’s growing trade and logistics infrastructure.
