A new Athens-based player is strengthening its presence in the LPG shipping market with plans to expand its fleet through strategic acquisitions backed by long-term employment.

Adenac Ship Management Ltd, the commercial arm of Netherlands-based Vitamodo Scheepsbeheer BV, has acquired two high-specification 3,500-cbm pressurised LPG carriers built in Japan in 2009, marking another milestone in the company’s growth strategy.

The company said both vessels have joined its fleet with two-year employment already secured, providing immediate revenue visibility while reinforcing its position in the small and mid-sized LPG carrier segment.

“By combining selective acquisitions with secured employment, we continue to strengthen the quality of our fleet, enhance earnings visibility and build a resilient portfolio of modern LPG tonnage,” Adenac Ship Management said in a social media post.

Specialising in the ownership, commercial management and long-term operation of LPG carriers and container vessels, the company said its investment strategy remains focused on disciplined fleet expansion supported by stable charter coverage.

The latest acquisition follows a series of fleet growth initiatives undertaken this year. Earlier in 2026, Adenac acquired a 2004-built LPG carrier with a five-year employment contract already in place. The company also fixed its 1999-built LPG carrier Gas Zuma on a three-year charter, further strengthening its long-term earnings profile.

The expansion reflects continued investor confidence in the LPG shipping sector, where owners are increasingly pursuing acquisitions with secured charter employment to mitigate market volatility and ensure stable cash flows.
