Allcargo Logistics is expanding its capabilities to support India’s fast-growing consumer durables sector through technology-driven operations, multimodal distribution networks, and a strengthened nationwide infrastructure footprint.

The company said rising urbanisation, increasing adoption of digital commerce, and evolving consumer preferences are driving demand for appliances, electronics, home equipment, and white goods across the country. This growth is creating a greater need for agile and scalable logistics solutions capable of handling high-volume distribution across diverse markets.

According to the company, demand for integrated supply chain services from consumer durable manufacturers has been increasing, particularly during the ongoing summer season, which has boosted the movement of cooling appliances and other seasonal products. The trend has highlighted the importance of efficient logistics networks to ensure timely inventory replenishment and market availability.

Commenting on the development, Ketan Kulkarni said the consumer durables sector increasingly requires agile, technology-enabled supply chains that can scale rapidly across India’s expanding consumption markets. He noted that deeper market penetration into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, along with seasonal demand spikes, is making technology-led logistics critical for improving inventory visibility and replenishment efficiency.

The company currently supports leading consumer durable brands through a nationwide network of 76 distribution and technology-enabled transshipment facilities. These facilities are designed to facilitate faster inventory movement and improve access to regional markets.

As part of its infrastructure expansion strategy, Allcargo Logistics has increased and recategorised its transshipment centres from 21 to 71 locations. Through its recently launched Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, the company now claims coverage across all serviceable PIN codes in India. The mapped PIN code network has expanded from 21,000 to more than 32,000 locations, while direct serviceable PIN codes have increased from 4,900 to over 10,000 through its distribution centres.

The company’s integrated logistics ecosystem combines warehousing, first- and last-mile connectivity, air express services, and ground transportation to support efficient cargo movement across supply chains. During peak consumption periods such as festive seasons and summer demand cycles, these capabilities help brands manage higher shipment volumes and improve inventory turnaround times.

In addition, Allcargo Logistics continues to invest in digital integration through unified technology platforms, real-time cargo tracking systems, cloud-enabled infrastructure, and integrated operational tools aimed at enhancing supply chain visibility and planning.

The company said its consultative logistics approach enables customised supply chain solutions tailored to seasonal demand fluctuations, varying inventory cycles, and multi-location distribution requirements, helping consumer durable brands improve operational efficiency and responsiveness in an increasingly consumption-driven economy.
