    The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) is planning to strengthen Bihar’s inland water transport infrastructure with the proposed development of Water Metro services at 11 locations and cruise terminals at two locations.

    IWAI Chairman Shri Sushil Kumar Lohani, IAS, met Shri Pratyaya Amrit, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar, to discuss the proposed projects and expansion of the State’s inland water transport network.

    The Chief Secretary welcomed the initiatives and assured the necessary support from the Bihar Government, particularly for expediting land acquisition and ensuring timely implementation of the projects.
