The Centre and Telangana government have partnered to develop a Smart Integrated Industrial City covering 3,245 acres under the Hyderabad Nagpur Industrial Corridor (HNIC). This project aims to attract investments with modern infrastructure and boost economic growth in the region.

    Building a modern industrial hub

The new Zaheerabad Industrial Area (ZIA) will be managed by a special purpose vehicle called NICDIT Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City. The Centre’s National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust holds 49 per cent equity, while Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) owns 51 per cent.

Located in the Sangareddy district, ZIA will feature advanced roads, electrical systems, ICT facilities, and shared utilities to support industries.

    Strategic location and growth potential

Of the total land, 91 per cent is already owned by the state, with the rest under acquisition. Zaheerabad is well connected by road and rail, just 125 km from the Hyderabad airport. Nearby ports and upcoming logistics parks will further support transportation and trade.

This is Zaheerabad’s second major industrial project, strengthening its role as a key industrial centre and supporting initiatives like Make in India and the Act East Policy.
