CEVA Logistics has inaugurated a 17,000-sqm pharmaceutical logistics facility at the Strasbourg-Entzheim Airport business park in France, strengthening its healthcare logistics capabilities in one of Europe’s key pharmaceutical hubs.
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to handle high-value, temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments, offering specialised storage, advanced inventory management, real-time shipment traceability and enhanced security. Its strategic location provides direct access to airport infrastructure, airlines, freight operators and customs inspection services.
The facility features three temperature-controlled storage zones: +15°C to +25°C, +2°C to +8°C and -25°C, with capabilities to accommodate ultra-low-temperature healthcare products down to -80°C. It also has an on-site dry ice production system and specialised packaging solutions for palletised cargo. The infrastructure complies with international healthcare standards and Good Distribution Practices (GDP), alongside TAPA FSR B security certification.
Built with sustainability in focus, the facility targets BREEAM ‘Very Good’ and BiodiverCity certifications. Its rooftop solar panels generate renewable energy for on-site consumption, helping reduce its environmental footprint.
The new centre complements CEVA’s existing 10,000-sqm facility at Entzheim. The company now operates four logistics sites across France’s Grand Est region, covering a combined 90,000 sqm. Its dedicated healthcare logistics network in France spans five facilities with more than 80,000 sqm of space.
Globally, CEVA supports over 500 pharmaceutical and healthcare customers through approximately 50 specialised logistics facilities.
Amaury Montay, Contract Logistics Director France at CEVA Logistics, said the new facility marks an important milestone in expanding the company’s healthcare business in France, strengthening its ability to manage sensitive, temperature-controlled operations and secure customers’ supply chains.
