TVS Supply Chain Solutions has inaugurated a new 40,000 square‑foot logistics and warehousing facility near Chennai as part of its push to strengthen global supply chain operations in India.
Located in the Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) at Mannur Village, about 30 km from the city, the facility is designed to support multi‑country sourcing and global logistics flows for clients and enhance connectivity to major ports and industrial corridors in South India.
Strategic Expansion for Global Supply Chains
The new centre — equipped with roughly 4,000 pallet positions — will bolster the company’s ability to optimise lead times, cut logistics costs, and create supply chains that can better withstand global market volatility. Its strategic location along the Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor offers easy access to Chennai, Ennore, and Kamarajar ports, which handle a significant portion of India’s container traffic.
This expansion underscores TVS Supply Chain Solutions’ role in advancing the “Make in India for the World” initiative by using Indian infrastructure to support global manufacturers and supply chain networks.
Partnership and Operational Support
The facility will bolster logistics operations for key clients, including manufacturing leader Caterpillar, enhancing its parts procurement and distribution across international markets. TVS Supply Chain Solutions also manages Caterpillar’s other warehousing operations in the region, including in‑plant and external logistics functions.
The company’s expansion reflects broader trends in Indian logistics and warehousing, where modern, well‑connected facilities are increasingly in demand to serve global supply chains and support export‑oriented manufacturers amid rising trade volumes.
