China Cargo Airlines has launched a scheduled service between Hefei Xinqiao International Airport (HFE) in China and Liege Airport (LGG) in Belgium.

Liege Airport announced it had been added to China Cargo Airlines’ network in a LinkedIn post on Monday 26 May, stating a Boeing 777 freighter(s) would be used on the route.

“We are proud to welcome China Cargo Airlines to Liege Airport with the launch of a new scheduled service connecting Liege (LGG) and Hefei (HFE),” said Liege.

“This route is operated with the modern Boeing 777 Freighter (B777F) and will run three times a week, reinforcing the vital air freight corridor between Europe and Asia.”

The airport added: “This new connection not only increases cargo capacity and reliability, but also strengthens Liege Airport’s position as a key logistics gateway in Europe.”

Shanghai-based China Cargo Airlines, a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, has a fleet of 15 777Fs.
