    French ocean carrier CMA CGM will launch a new seasonal service dedicated to exports of fruits and vegetables from Morocco to North America.

    The new NAMEX service will have the following port rotation:

    Tanger Med (Morocco) – Halifax (Canada) – New York (US) – Philadelphia (US) – Norfolk (US) – Savannah (US) – Charleston (US) – Tanger Med

    The 15,128 TEU container vessel CMA CGM Chile will be the first ship deployed on the service commencing from the port of Tanger Med on 9 January.

    The Marseille-based box line noted that Tanger-Halifax will need seven days and Tanger-Philadelphia will need 13 days.
