CMA CGM – Short Sea Lines Division has announced the launch of EGAL, its new Intramed service, as of week 7.

The service will be conducted with four 1,400 TEUs containerships.

This weekly service, starting in Alexandria on 12 February 2025, will be offering direct connection from Egypt to Greece and Algeria and will allow worldwide connections from Egypt to Malta and Piraeus hubs.

The new route will establish a maritime link between the East Mediterranean region and Annaba and a fast connection between Egypt and Greece.

The rotation is as follows: Alexandria – Piraeus – Thessaloniki – Malta – Annaba – Alexandria

Earlier this year, CMA CGM Short Sea Lines added Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), operated by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in the Port of Rijeka in Croatia, to the port rotation of its recently launched Bora Med service.
