Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has reported its highest-ever annual income for FY2025–26, supported by a 9.56 per cent rise in throughput and continued growth in containerised cargo movement across its logistics network.

The state-run multimodal logistics operator said higher container volumes, improved rail freight demand, and increased domestic as well as EXIM cargo movement contributed to the strong financial and operational performance during the fiscal year. Growth in industrial production, exports, and inland logistics activity also supported cargo throughput across key terminals.

CONCOR’s throughput growth was driven by rising container traffic on major trade corridors linked to ports and inland container depots. The company continued to benefit from expanding rail connectivity, increasing adoption of multimodal transport solutions, and higher demand for efficient cargo evacuation from ports.

Industry analysts noted that the company’s performance reflects improving momentum in India’s logistics and container transportation sector despite challenges such as global shipping disruptions, freight volatility, and geopolitical uncertainties affecting international trade.

The company has been focusing on expanding terminal infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening first- and last-mile connectivity to support future cargo growth. Investments in logistics parks, warehousing facilities, and digital freight solutions have also been part of its broader expansion strategy.

CONCOR plays a major role in India’s containerised rail freight network and serves sectors including manufacturing, automotive, chemicals, textiles, consumer goods, and agriculture. The company operates an extensive network of inland container depots, private freight terminals, and logistics hubs across the country.

Industry observers expect containerised cargo movement in India to remain on a growth path, supported by rising exports, industrial activity, and ongoing investments in dedicated freight corridors and multimodal logistics infrastructure.
