Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has successfully flagged off the first export container block train from its Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Barhi to Mundra Port, marking a significant milestone in enhancing rail-led export logistics.

The inaugural train is carrying rice shipments for Emirates Shipping Line, in association with CAG Shipping. The movement highlights growing collaboration between logistics service providers and exporters to streamline supply chains.

This development underscores CONCOR Barhi’s commitment to delivering faster, reliable, and cost-effective transportation solutions to its customers. By leveraging dedicated rail services, the company aims to reduce transit time and improve efficiency in moving export cargo to key gateway ports like Mundra Port.

The initiative is expected to further strengthen the role of inland logistics hubs such as Barhi in facilitating seamless cargo movement and boosting export competitiveness, particularly for agri-commodities like rice.
