Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has operationalised Import Loaded Reefer Movement at its Inland Container Depot (ICD), Tughlakabad (TKD), marking a significant step towards strengthening temperature-controlled logistics infrastructure for import cargo.

With bookings now open, the facility enables seamless handling of inbound temperature-sensitive and perishable cargo, ensuring greater efficiency, reliability, and cargo integrity throughout the logistics chain.

The upgraded infrastructure at ICD-TKD includes dedicated reefer plug points to provide uninterrupted power supply, continuous power backup systems, and 24×7 real-time monitoring and surveillance to maintain the required temperature conditions for sensitive cargo.

CONCOR has invited importers, exporters, shipping lines, and logistics stakeholders to route their inbound refrigerated cargo directly to ICD Tughlakabad, New Delhi, leveraging the enhanced reefer handling capabilities.

The operationalisation of the Import Loaded Reefer Movement facility reinforces CONCOR’s commitment to providing dependable, efficient, and temperature-controlled logistics solutions. The initiative is expected to facilitate the safe, secure, and timely movement of perishable and other temperature-sensitive imports while supporting the growing demand for specialised cold chain logistics in the country.
