    COSCO Shipping and Shell have strengthened their LNG shipping cooperation through a new agreement with Jiangnan Shipyard for the construction of four new LNG carriers.

    The vessel order is expected to support the companies’ long-term LNG transportation strategy by adding modern, efficient ships to the global gas shipping network. The new carriers will enhance fleet capacity and provide additional flexibility to meet growing demand for LNG transportation.

    The partnership highlights the increasing importance of reliable LNG logistics as global energy markets continue to evolve. Advanced LNG carriers are playing a critical role in ensuring secure and efficient movement of natural gas across international trade routes.

    The Jiangnan shipbuilding deal also reflects the continued expansion of LNG shipping capacity, with major energy and maritime players investing in new-generation vessels to improve operational efficiency and support future energy supply chains.

    The collaboration between COSCO, Shell, and Jiangnan further strengthens cooperation across the LNG value chain, from shipbuilding and transport to global energy distribution.
