Deendayal Port Authority has achieved another significant operational milestone with the successful loading of 38,500 metric tonnes of Bentonite onto MV BUZZARD in just 22 hours and 25 minutes, underscoring the port’s focus on operational excellence, efficiency, and world-class cargo handling.
The loading operation commenced at 1605 hrs on July 2, 2026, and was completed at 1430 hrs on July 3, 2026, demonstrating the port’s ability to ensure faster vessel turnaround and seamless cargo operations.
The achievement was made possible through the coordinated efforts of all stakeholders, including M/s. Shree Ashapura Stevedores (A Unit of Ashapura Shipping Group) as the stevedore, M/s. Spartans Marine Services as the vessel agent, M/s. Balaji Infraport Pvt. Ltd. (A Unit of Ashapura Shipping Group) as the customs house agent, and exporters M/s. Gimpex Imerys India Private Limited and M/s. Bharat Abrasives and Chemical Industries.
The successful loading operation highlights Deendayal Port Authority’s capability to deliver efficient cargo handling services, improve vessel turnaround times, and provide reliable logistics support to the trade. The accomplishment further strengthens the port’s position as one of India’s leading major ports, consistently setting new benchmarks in operational performance and customer service.
