The development work for the proposed Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) near Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district has officially commenced. A dedicated commercial zone will account for approximately 10% of the park’s total area of 112.6 hectares.

The project, estimated at ₹1,110.6 crore, is being developed in multiple zones to accommodate diverse logistics and industrial operations. “Possession of the proposed land has been taken, and development work is now underway. The park will be a game-changer for the state, providing a major boost to industrial and logistics growth,” said Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director, MPIDC Indore.

The MMLP will provide a range of integrated facilities, including warehousing, specialised storage solutions, freight transportation, cargo aggregation and distribution, container and bulk cargo handling, customs EDI services, and cargo scanning.

Being developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis, the park spans 112.6 hectares — including 90 hectares of privately acquired land from the villages of Kheda, Akolia, Sagor, and Jamodi, and 22 hectares of government land. MPIDC has completed the land acquisition process from all four villages to facilitate the project’s rollout.

A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been established for the project, comprising National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC).
