    Shri Praveen Kumar, Managing Director of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), conducted a comprehensive inspection of the New Dadri–New Sahnewal section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) on May 30, 2026, to review operational infrastructure, assess ongoing initiatives, and interact with field teams.

    During the visit, the MD carried out detailed inspections of the New Dadri–New Kesari section and the New Ambala City–Sahnewal section, evaluating the corridor’s operational efficiency and infrastructure readiness.

    As part of DFCCIL’s commitment to social responsibility and employee welfare, Shri Praveen Kumar inaugurated Sewa Dham, a CSR initiative aimed at supporting the treatment and rehabilitation of children affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The initiative includes the provision of physiotherapy equipment to aid rehabilitation efforts.

    He also inaugurated the newly developed DFCCIL Type-V residential quarters at Ambala Cantonment, enhancing housing facilities for employees. In addition, he inspected the Transmission Substation (TSS) at Ambala Unit, underscoring DFCCIL’s focus on maintaining robust and reliable infrastructure across the freight corridor network.

    The visit reaffirmed DFCCIL’s commitment to operational excellence, infrastructure development, employee welfare, and meaningful community engagement through its CSR initiatives.

    The inspection was accompanied by Shri P. K. Rai, Director (Project Planning); Shri Sandesh Srivastava, Executive Director (Project); Shri Alok Kumar, General Manager (Coordination), Ambala Unit; Shri Arjun Singh Tomar, GGM/S&T/EC; Shri Akhilesh Srivastava, GM/Elect-IV/EC; Shri Ashish Mishra, GM/Security/EDFC; Shri Sunder Singh, GM/HR; along with other senior officials.
