Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) held a high-level Business Development Meeting with Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal (GCT) operators to review the progress of terminal projects being developed along the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) network and to discuss strategies for accelerating rail-linked logistics infrastructure across the country.
The meeting was chaired by Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, DFCCIL, and attended by Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director (Operations & Business Development); Anurag Sharma, Director (Infrastructure); and P.K. Rai, Director (Projects & Planning).
Convened by S.P. Verma, General Manager (Business Development & Business Analytics), the meeting also saw participation from M.K. Awasthy, Executive Director (Infrastructure); Sandesh Srivastava, Executive Director (Projects); General Managers from various departments, and other senior DFCCIL officials.
Representatives from several GCT projects, including Sushila Venkateshwar, JSW Infrastructure, Globecoast, DP World, Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), Savra Infra LLP, CONCOR, Emirates Logistics, Jora Vasan Infra, Timba PFT, Pristine, and Kanpur Logistics, presented updates on project implementation, construction progress, traffic potential, cargo projections, and operational readiness.
Discussions focused on enhancing multimodal connectivity, increasing freight handling capacity, promoting the shift of cargo movement from road to rail, and ensuring the timely commissioning of cargo terminals. DFCCIL emphasized the importance of these projects in strengthening India’s logistics ecosystem and supporting the growing freight transportation requirements of the nation.
The review meeting underscored DFCCIL’s commitment to facilitating efficient, sustainable, and integrated logistics infrastructure through the expansion of the Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal network along the Dedicated Freight Corridor.
