DP World has officially opened a new 8,250-square-metre chemicals warehouse in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges to reinforce its position as a major player in European hazardous goods logistics.
The facility, located near DP World’s Antwerp Gateway terminal, is fully equipped to store all ADR-classified chemicals, except for ADR Class 1 (Explosives) and ADR Class 7 (Radioactive materials).
Strategically positioned in Europe’s largest integrated chemical cluster, the warehouse is designed to serve customers in Belgium, northern France, and Luxembourg. It features six loading docks and a capacity of 10,000 pallets, meeting the highest safety and regulatory standards for chemical storage and distribution in Europe.
The investment marks a significant expansion of DP World’s capabilities in the Benelux region, supporting integrated logistics services across the supply chain.
The company estimates the new facility will create 10 to 20 new jobs locally.

DP World’s expertise in hazardous materials handling is supported by its global operations and its Singapore-based subsidiary Legend Logistics, which specialises in chemical logistics.
In the Benelux, DP World has decades of experience in storing and distributing chemicals and agricultural products, including navigating complex regulatory environments.
In recent news, DP World reduced transit times between Romania and Turkey by 50 per cent, following upgrades to its Black Sea operations. The company has increased container capacity at Constanța Port, Romania’s largest on the Black Sea, through the addition of a RoRo terminal and a logistics hub in western Romania.
