DTDC Express Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Industries, Government of Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant step towards strengthening market access for artisans, weavers and traditional enterprises across the state.

The MoU was signed on National Handloom Day and is aligned with the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s One District One Product (ODOP) vision. The initiative seeks to leverage DTDC’s logistics network and digital commerce capabilities to connect local businesses and producers with customers across India and international markets.

The partnership is expected to provide greater market reach for GI-tagged products, enabling artisans and traditional enterprises to access wider consumer markets while benefiting from reliable logistics and digital commerce solutions.

The initiative aims to support Uttar Pradesh’s rich artisan and handloom ecosystem by facilitating the movement of locally produced goods beyond regional markets. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern logistics and technology, the collaboration could help create new opportunities for entrepreneurship, exports and sustainable economic growth.

The development marks an important milestone for DTDC as it expands its role beyond conventional parcel delivery and contributes to the growth of India’s small businesses, artisans and local enterprises.

The initiative has been welcomed as a meaningful step towards preserving India’s rich artisan heritage while creating stronger commercial opportunities for traditional producers in domestic and global markets.

The leadership and team associated with the initiative include Subhasish Chakraborty, Abhishek Chakraborty, Arpita C Mittra, Aneel Gambhir, Rishi Sareen, Ankita Tiwari, Jatinder Sethi, Aditya Vikram Kapoor, Soumitra Choudhary, Sumesh Kampassi, Santanu Chakraborty, Ayan Choudhary, Amol Zele, Sukrit Dhar, Neha Bagchi, Sanket Shah, Rajesh Gowrinath, Mayank Deol, Vinod Khatri and Amish Kampani.

The partnership reinforces the growing importance of integrated logistics and digital commerce in helping India’s local enterprises reach wider markets and contribute to the country’s broader Atmanirbhar Bharat and export-growth objectives.
