Emirates SkyCargo is strengthening its South American cargo network to accommodate rising export demand and improve connectivity between the region and international markets.

South America is an important source of agricultural products, fresh produce, seafood, pharmaceuticals and other commodities that require reliable air freight services. Growing demand for these shipments is creating opportunities for cargo operators to expand capacity and offer more efficient transport solutions.

Through its global network and Dubai hub, Emirates SkyCargo connects South American markets with destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and other regions. Enhanced connectivity can help exporters access international markets while supporting time-sensitive and temperature-controlled cargo movements.

In 2026, the carrier added seven weekly freighter flights across the region: three to Buenos Aires, one to Bogotá, two additional flights to São Paulo and one to Quito. During the first half of fiscal year 2026–27, export volumes carried by Emirates SkyCargo rose 57% from Argentina, 22% from Brazil, 18% from Colombia and 14% from Ecuador year-on-year.

Since April 2024, the airline has transported nearly 80,000 tonnes of perishables from these four markets, including approximately 66,000 tonnes of fresh flowers. The expanded services are designed to support temperature-sensitive shipments and improve access for South American exporters to international markets through Emirates’ global network.
