Container shipping giant Evergreen has completed the rollout of Inmarsat’s Nexuswave communications platform across its entire fleet, marking a major upgrade in its vessel connectivity and digital operations.

The deployment enables Evergreen ships to access high-speed broadband, real-time data sharing, and enhanced operational analytics, supporting both crew welfare and logistics efficiency. The move aligns with the industry trend of integrating satellite-based IoT and digital monitoring systems to improve fleet performance, safety, and sustainability.

An Evergreen spokesperson said: “Implementing Nexuswave across our fleet enhances operational visibility, strengthens decision-making, and ensures our vessels remain at the forefront of maritime digitalization.”

The Inmarsat platform provides capabilities such as remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and secure communications, allowing Evergreen to optimize voyages, reduce fuel consumption, and enhance service reliability for customers worldwide.

Industry analysts note that widespread adoption of satellite connectivity platforms like Nexuswave is becoming a key differentiator for major carriers in managing complex global supply chains and meeting ESG targets.
