    Lufthansa Cargo-owned time-critical logistics company time:matters is expanding its international network with the opening of courier terminals at Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and Felipe Ángeles International Airport (NLU).

    Opened in partnership with Lufthansa Cargo Servicios Logísticos de México (LCSLM), the new facilities will target industries such as automotive, semiconductors, and life sciences, handling spare and service parts, medical equipment, high-value goods, and hazardous materials.

    The facilities enable faster and more controlled handling of time-critical shipments, said Lufthansa Cargo. They are designed to reduce handling time from six hours to three hours and feature dedicated documentary and physical handling processes for export and import shipments, personalised data flows to customs brokers and consignees and 24/7 operational availability.

    The courier terminals in Mexico are based on the operational performance of the three existing time:matters terminals in Frankfurt, Munich, and Shanghai.

    Bernhard zur Strassen, chief executive of time:matters, explained: “We are not just opening two new facilities; we are extending our premium logistics DNA to Mexico. By combining local presence with global expertise, we deliver what customers need most: speed, reliability, and flexibility across their supply chains.”

    Stefan Fölsing, managing director of time:matters Courier Terminals, added: “The new terminals in Mexico add a strategically important hub to our network in Latin America. With dedicated handling processes and personalized control, we ensure faster and more reliable handling for key industries.”

    The terminals strengthen the company’s presence in one of Latin America’s key logistics hubs and enhance connectivity between Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

    In April, time:matters opened new offices in Penang, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand, to help meet the needs of customers looking to diversify their supply chains.
