In a significant development for Russia’s Far Eastern logistics sector, FESCO Transport Group has taken over the management of both Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Commercial Sea Port LLC and Kamchatka Shipping Company LLC (KASCO). This strategic move, announced on October 20, 2025, follows a series of nationalizations aimed at consolidating regional maritime operations under FESCO’s leadership.

The acquisition is part of a broader initiative by the Russian government to streamline control over key transportation assets in the Far East. FESCO, a leading intermodal transport operator in Russia, is now responsible for overseeing these critical maritime and port facilities, enhancing its influence over regional logistics and supply chains.

This development underscores FESCO’s expanding role in the region’s transportation infrastructure, positioning it as a central player in Russia’s Far Eastern economic activities.
